What DANA is

DANA is a booking platform for hair, nail, and beauty salons. This policy covers the information we collect from customers who book appointments and from salon staff who manage their schedule on DANA, including the optional calendar-sync feature.

Information we collect

• Account info — name, email, and phone number when you sign in or book an appointment.
• Booking details — the service, salon, designer, date, and time of appointments you request or manage.
• Calendar sync (staff only) — if a salon designer chooses to connect a personal calendar, we store what's needed to keep it in sync: for Google Calendar, an OAuth token (stored encrypted, never in plain text); for a subscribed calendar link (Google or Apple), only the free/busy times needed to block booking slots — never event titles or details from your personal calendar.

How we use it

Solely to run the booking platform: creating and confirming appointments, notifying customers and salons about booking status, and — for staff who opt in — keeping DANA and a personal calendar in sync so double-bookings don't happen. We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Google Calendar access

If you connect Google Calendar, DANA requests permission only to create, update, and delete the specific events it creates for your DANA bookings, and to read your calendar's free/busy time so DANA can avoid double-booking you. DANA does not read, modify, or delete any other event on your calendar. You can disconnect at any time from your DANA calendar settings, which revokes DANA's access; you can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page. DANA's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Sharing

Booking details are shared only with the salon you're booking with, so they can confirm and prepare your appointment. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email/SMS delivery) strictly to operate DANA — they don't use your data for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time, directly in the app or on the web: open Profile and use Delete account at the bottom of the page. Deleting removes your sign-in, profile (name, phone, email), your messages with salons, your reviews, and any notes a salon kept about you. Upcoming appointments are cancelled; past appointments remain with the salon as an anonymous business record with your personal details removed. You can also disconnect a calendar sync or request a copy of your data by contacting us below.
